DMCA Policy

Effective Date: 2024

covum.net respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. It is our policy to respond to valid Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notices and to take appropriate action under the DMCA and other applicable intellectual property laws.


1. Copyright Infringement Notice

If you believe that any content on covum.net infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a written notice to our designated Copyright Agent with the following information (as required by the DMCA):

  1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed, along with sufficient information for us to locate the material.
  4. Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

2. Counter-Notification

If you believe that the material removed or disabled was mistakenly identified, you may send us a counter-notification with the following details:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled, and the location where the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your district (or if outside the U.S., to an appropriate judicial body) and will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice.

3. Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, covum.net has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers.


4. Misrepresentation and Liability

Please note that under the DMCA, you may be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) if you knowingly misrepresent that material or activity is infringing your copyright.
